Licence for the Estate model data (public/estate/**) ==================================================== The files under /estate/ on this site (the folder public/estate/ in the portfolio repository) are model data for Sample Town N5, a generated sample HDB neighbourhood: the poster render, the building, site and interior geometry, the walk grids and the navigation data the Estate window loads. They are not a real town and not HDB's own plans. They are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0): https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Legal code: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/legalcode They are NOT covered by this repository's MIT licence (the LICENSE file at the repository root), which covers the site's code only. Attribution ----------- Sample Town N5 © Rahul Mitra, CC BY 4.0, generated by Bonsai-Estate https://github.com/Rah-Rah-Mitra/Bonsai-Estate Source and changes ------------------ The data was generated by Bonsai-Estate (IfcOpenShell, Bonsai and Blender) and published in the model and reports zips of its GitHub release v1.2 (the poster render and its camera views come from the reports zip, everything else from the model zip): https://github.com/Rah-Rah-Mitra/Bonsai-Estate/releases/tag/v1.2 For the web, the portfolio's pack tool (scripts/estate in the portfolio repository) converted that release: geometry merged by storey and compressed (meshopt), materials mapped onto the site's design tokens, passable door leaves shown open, files renamed by content hash and gzipped. It also simplified what is drawn: lift cars dropped; ground faces facing down turned up, and the undersides of ground slabs below grade dropped; window glass drawn as panels with a back face and shelter glass as an opaque tint; furniture and trees beyond a short distance drawn as simplified stand-ins; the poster resized and re-encoded. The pack..json manifest in the version folder records the exact release assets (SHA-256), the commit they were built from and the corrections it made (its warnings). No modelled fact (a room, a storey, a door or a dimension) was added. If you reuse the data, credit it as above, link the licence and the repository, and say whether you changed it. Desk drawing set (derived) -------------------------- The desktop workbench's desk draws this data as engineering drawings: site plan, floor plans, axonometric views and the aerial through the poster's camera. Those line drawings are derived from the v1.2 pack in this folder (pack.json, the nav files and the ground raster) by the portfolio's scripts/drawings generator, and ship in the site's /assets/*.js under the same CC BY 4.0 licence and attribution as above. They add, and mark as inferred where they are drawn: wall fill from the thin gaps between spaces (walls are not modelled in the data); lift cores, the thick unroomed rectangle behind a bank of lift landings; open-air slab edges beside void and roof decks; dashed boundaries where two spaces meet with no gap; massing extruded from each footprint to its roof level, plus the roof's enclosed rooms by their clear height. Doors are drawn as openings (the data holds no swing or hinge). They never draw door swings, glazing, furniture, columns, hatching, areas, facades, trees, parapets or a site boundary. The files in this folder are unchanged by them.
